Days of Rage: Beirut 1982-2007. is intended to stimulate
discussion about the causes and consequences of regional conflict by closely
examining Beirut as a model for how these tragedies begin and where they inevitably
lead.
Designed as a vehicle for the classic photojournalism essay,
Days of Rage is built around the black-and-white photographs of Judah Passow.
It is the first CD-ROM production to explore current affairs through the
medium of photojournalism, which enables it to go beyond the scope and ability
of traditional newspapers and magazines in documenting and interpreting
the turbulent history of our times.
In addition to the photographs, the disk also includes:
- Text by veteran foreign correspondent Julie Flint
- Spoken commentary by Israeli and Lebanese participants
- A wealth of supporting information including maps, statistics, and
a full glossary
- A variety of photographic sequencing options offering a choice of editorial
routes through the narrative
- Original music
